Support for the family of Sheikh Noyon Hussain
Cause of Death: Became a martyr after being tragically struck by a bullet in the head."
It is with profound sorrow that we share the tragic story of Sheikh Noyon Hussain, a young man of only 20 years, who lost his life on August 5, 2024. As a class nine student, Noyon was deeply committed not only to his education but also to the well-being of his family. Following the death of his father just three months earlier, Noyon assumed the overwhelming responsibility of supporting his mother, Mst. Jharena Begum, and his six sisters. Despite his youth, he shouldered the heavy burden of being the family’s sole provider, a role that weighed heavily on him.
In addition to his studies, Noyon rented an auto-rickshaw to earn a living in Kamalkhani, a village in the Habiganj district. On the fateful day of his death, Noyon encountered a procession while driving his auto-rickshaw. Driven by his sense of justice and solidarity, he joined the movement. Tragically, when the police opened fire, a bullet struck Noyon in the head, ending his life instantly. His death has left his family devastated, struggling to cope with the loss of their primary breadwinner. Noyon’s passing not only represents a profound personal loss but also a severe crisis for his family’s future, plunging them into financial instability and emotional turmoil.
In response to this tragic situation, we at the Resilience USA Foundation urgently appeal for your support. Financial assistance is critically needed to help Noyon’s family navigate this devastating loss and secure a stable future. We propose establishing a dedicated fund to provide regular financial aid for essential needs such as food, education, and healthcare. Furthermore, we plan to collaborate with local organizations to offer vocational training and job placement assistance for Mst. Jharena Begum and her eldest daughters, empowering them to achieve financial independence.
In this moment of profound grief, we ask for your generosity and compassion. Your contributions, no matter the size, can make a significant difference in alleviating the hardships faced by Noyon’s family. Your support will not only help them through this immediate crisis but also offer them hope for a brighter, more secure future. Please consider offering your support today to help this grieving family rebuild their lives and honor the memory of a young man who gave everything for his loved ones.
